I made this while exploring the rifftrax new 'do it yourself' website - where you can add clips from youtube (or wherever) and make your own mini MST3K episode out of it. Well at least the riffing part, no bots lol. Anyway, here's my take on the ending of sailor moon's first season. Enjoy!

LJ recently banned a member for posting a picture of the character 'Harry Potter' in a sexual situation. She had created/drawn the picture herself. Harry's age was that of an older teenager (between 15 and 19), and as we all know - teenagers do get themselves into sexual situations. The picture was tasteful (at least in my opinion), and I see no harm in a fictional character being drawn in such a situation. [info]icarusancalion has written a post about it ( article here ) describing the picture in detail and her interpretation of the situation. Make of it what you will, but I think 6A is really screwing things up... especially if Brad (founder of LJ) is leaving for Google. That says something, doesn't it?

Anyway, [info]bubble_blunder has an Open Letter To LiveJournal and Six Apart. She begins with the following:

I am seriously doubtful that this is going to work. Nevertheless, I have a plan. My plan is to write, with the help of any other LJ users who are interested, this letter. In it I think that we should explain in civil and polite language exactly what our complaints are, and what steps we would like LJ/6A to take in order to resolve those complaints. The complaints that I want to focus on are the overwhelmingly loud ones that I am hearing regarding LJ's lack of customer service and communication with their users. This is not going to be an excuse to debate the obscenity or lack thereof of the artwork in question. This is not going to be an attempt to get anyone's journal unsuspended. After we all come to a consensus on what we want to say, I think that we should all "sign" it in the comments to a new post with the entire thing. Then, we should all print it off and mail/fax it to LiveJournal and Six Apart's offices, as well as emailing the link to it to them. If we get no response in a timely fashion (deadline to be determined by us) then I think we should forward copies of it to those who tend to write about things like this in the tech media. CNet, The Inquirer, etc., in an attempt to get them to publish it, which may bring enough pressure to bear that we get a response before Christmas. This is my attempt to start things off. Feel free to comment with notes on what you think should be included, or to tell me that you think that this is a terrible idea. My fear is that the large number of people posting cat macros in the news posts are actually hindering our well reasoned objections from being heard, and are enabling LJ/6A to label us all as juvenile and/or deviants who can be easily ignored.

( Fake Cut to the Letter )

I signed it, and I think everyone should at least read it (if you agree with what's presented there, 'sign' it with a comment...).

And as for those who don't think the situation will ever effect the 'average users' such as yourselves... you've got to get your head out of your ass. These policies effect ALL livejournal users - not just the "fringe" 35,000 fandom ljs.

Friends Only!

My apologies, but because I'm a paranoid freak this journal can only be viewed by friends that are registered users of LiveJournal.

It's not that I have anything against you personally, it's just that I like to have the ability to say anything I want without random people commenting on it. Now, if livejournal manages to let certain ip addresses view journals without being a member of livejournal - I'll let friends who aren't members view my journal.. or something like that ^_^;;;

Cheers!
